WINE TASTING AND OCEAN

This daytour will let you discover the coast between the city and the port of Civitavecchia that is the most important port of Italy for the cruises boat number of passengers.

First stop is the fortress of Santa Severa, 1 hour away from Roma on a nice and panoramic highway along the sea.

The fortress is located along the Tyrrenian coast and takes the name from a young Christian martyr (Severa) killed in 298 a.C. in this place.

After a walk close by the fort where is a little village very nice for walking and breathe the sea breeze pick up to go to San Nicola Roman villa ruines. Here there is just the basement ruines of a roman villa that is in front of the sea.

After a walk there that is nice to enjoy the sun and doing pictures.

Pick up to go to the wine cellar.

Torre in Pietra castle has an history of many centuries, the fortress is located on the hills not far from the Aurelian road. Now the castello di torre in pietra (the stone tower) has an high quality local selection of wines and the guys there will be happy to show you the castello and talk about the history.

The fortress proposal for lunch is: starter, main dish and dessert – three local wines tasting.

After wine tasting and lunch pick up to go back to the hotel. Pick up in roma 9/9.30 drop off 5pm.
